7+ MOCK GROUP INTERVIEW

The JK 7+ mock group interview consists of three main sessions with a maximum of six children in a group. Schools are increasingly using group interviews to assess children’s ability and their interaction with others, so there is real value in preparing them this way.

The group interview tasks are delivered by a qualified, experienced senior teacher. An experienced member of the JK team watches the children’s responses and then writes up their observations and recommendations for each child. Each session is highly interactive and very similar to the type of activities and tasks that are given to children in the real 7+ group interview situations.

The skills we test during these mock interviews include: listening skills, collaboration, leadership skills, team work, general knowledge and the child’s behaviour. We always want this to be a very positive and helpful experience, so that in the real interviews they will be able to show their very best! Other skills tested will be oral comprehension and mental maths.

We follow up the day with a brief report on each child’s performance in the mock group interview. This report will be sent to parents along with some general information and tips to help you be involved in your child’s preparations for the real interviews, using this valuable feedback.

The Good Schools Guide places JK Educate in its Section A category of tutoring agencies and their review of our work is highly positive:
"These women are dynamic and warm, and they certainly know their onions when it comes to education - a combination that makes you feel instantly at ease with them as well as in safe hands." "The parents we spoke to couldn't get enough of these add-on options. 'It's a one-stop shop for tutoring, but it's a la carte, which means you can pick and choose what works for you. What could be better?' said one parent." "For a tutor, it's near on perfect, and the customer ultimately benefits from that too, one tutor summed up."
