Relevant Experience: |
I have been in the field of Special Needs and Disabilities for 24 years, teaching both pupils in the classroom and since 2005, as a SEND consultant, training teachers. As an Advisory teacher, I support schools to fully meet the needs of their pupils with additional needs by providing recommendations on the most successful practices. As a tutor, I can implement these approaches myself and see their effectiveness first-hand. |
Why I tutor: | Tutoring children on a one-to-one basis enables me to fully focus on the specific strengths and needs of my students and build a motivating programme of learning around them. Tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of the children ensures I can equip them with strategies and techniques which support progress and build knowledge, skills and confidence in themselves. |
