I am an educator with many years' experience in many diverse subjects and age groups. I am also an assessor, moderator, examiner and an author of teacher training manuals. I have tutored many students of all levels (English and EAL) with great success, and I have vast experience in preparing them for tests and examinations. I have been in leadership positions in the past, both as Head of Subject (English) and as Head Teacher.

Experience

I am enthusiastic and passionate about my subject; this positive energy motivates students and makes their lessons more pleasant. I am teaching online at present (from wherever I am in the world) and I find that it works very well. I get on well with people of all ages and have been told that I am easy to talk to and a good listener. I have the knowledge and experience to develop lessons that appeal to students’ interests and goals. Students should have the opportunity to use the language in genuine tasks and gain fluency without being anxious about making mistakes. They respond more positively to meaningful tasks that allow them to “use” the language, as well as preparing them to sit their exams and assessments confidently.
