I love getting to know my students personally, so that I can ensure their programmes are right for them. This is the beauty of one to one and close group teaching, as distinct to class teaching. I ensure I spend time to establish the specific needs of each student so we can develop a bespoke course suited to their needs.

Experience

I began my education career in Further and Higher Education within Work Based Learning, working as a Training Coordinator, Quality Assurance Manager, Internal Verifier, Curriculum Manager and Teacher (with an English and Dyslexia specialism). I then moved into Higher Education as an Associate Lecturer for the Post Compulsory Education and Training Department at Northumbria University. I have also held a role as an Examiner for City and Guilds in Functional Skills English. After a programme closure at Northumbria University, I re-visited my passion of teaching English, with a focus on English as a second language (national and international) and to provide academic support within English education (private and mainstream). In addition to my English teaching, I provide academic content writing consultancy. My other academic interests include observation of teaching and learning, and developing the use of emerging technologies within education.
